Barbecue Grills

Barbecue grills give food a special flavor

Barbeque grills have a very special romance associated with them. They conjure visions of outdoor cooking on smoky evenings. Even when used indoors these grills give food a distinct flavor. The three kinds of grills available in the market are:

1. Charcoal Grills: These grills use a combination of wood and charcoal briquettes that gives food an enhanced smoked flavor. However, you need to take precautions that your food does not burn over the charcoal, as it is difficult to control the fire. The grill is most popular as it is portable and can be used at family or friends' gatherings. It is especially suitable for those who relish outdoor cooking, and who like to experiment with different cooking styles. A downside to this is that the charcoal grill leaves a substantial greasy mess that needs rigorous cleaning. Also you have to wait till the burnt coals cool down before you can get down to the actually cleaning.

2. Gas Grills: These grills are powered by natural gas also known as Liquid Propane. Compared to the charcoal grill, this grill requires a maximum of ten minutes to preheat before you can start cooking, as there is a simple switch-on button to start the heating process. Moreover, the flame temperature can be controlled and it is also possible to cook two different foods at different temperatures. This grill is also cleaner. However, there is no gas grill that can equal a charcoal one when it comes to the taste of smoked food. Also these grills are heavier and have to be transported carefully to avoid accidents.

3. Electric Grills: These grills are the most convenient to use. They can be fired easily and don't require external fuel like charcoal or propane. They are also more environment-friendly. However, for the true connoisseur the thrill of cooking as well as the true taste of barbeque is lost when using this grill.
